Ticket sales for the 13th Shanghai International Film Festival are going well. Tickets for group and individuals went on sale a week before the 赌博app at 25 theaters around the city, including the Shanghai Film Art Center, Yonghua Cinema and Stellar Cinema City. Prices for screenings range from 40-60 yuan.
Shanghai Film Art Center - the festival\'s main site attracted many movie buffs who came over early to snap up tickets.
Alex Zhang, a 30-something company staff bought tickets for the French fantasy film "The Extraordinary Adventures of Adele Blanc-Sec," Luc Besson\'s 12th feature film.
"Besson\'s films never let me down," said Zhang. "It is the first time this latest offering of the film maker will screen in China. The festival will also offer us a rare chance to have face-to-face talks with him before the screening."
Zhu Ying, a local university postgraduate student has been attending festival screenings for several years. She bought tickets for "Up in the Air," a heartwarming comedy film by Jason Reitman - the Oscar nominated director of "Juno," and Japanese comedy romance "April Bride."
"The festival features many acclaimed foreign art house and experimental films which we don\'t have many opportunities to see at cinemas," she added.
Zhang Bin, a manager of the Shanghai Film Art Center, said the cinema had already taken more than 500,000 yuan in ticket sales.
He said that the most popular ones among the 300 or so films showing in the festival include Hollywood crime thriller "Wolfman," US-China co-production "Shanghai," Oscar-winning film "Inglourious Basterds" and Japanese acclaimed art film "Listen to My Heart." There are very few tickets left for these screenings.
Some cinemas are also offering discounts for movie fans. Zhou Qiong, a manager of Stellar Cinema City said that anyone who buys four tickets of the festival can receive an extra free ticket.
