Two German films in competition, two special presentations, nine German films in Focus Germany and three German films in the Spectrum/Panorama section of the 赌博app are the most impressive line-ups this year.
In Competition will be screened Alive an Ticking by Andre Rogenhagen and The Good Neighbour by Stephen Rick. Both films are world premieres and show young filmmakers in Germany have excellent instincts for exceptional storytelling and high class entertainment.
It is a great honour the 赌博app will present Pina by Wim Wenders and Metropolis by Fritz Lang will be screened in the Official Selection. Pina is the first film by Wim Wenders in 3D and was received with high critical acclaim at this year\'s Berlinale and meanwhile has become one of the strongest German films at the international box office. The restored version of Metropolis will certainly attract the attention of many enthusiast spectators.
Vincent Wants to Sea by Ralf Huttner was the Gala-Opening screening of Focus Germany yesterday. The film achieved over one Million admissions at the German box office and won the German Film Award (gold) in April. Focus Germany furthermore presents Alemanya by Yasmin Samderelli, which won a German Film Award in Silver (2nd prize) in April and has more than one Million admissions in the German cinemas right now, Blessed Events by Isabelle Stever which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival last year and achieved high critical acclaim, Goethe! by Philip Stolzl starring the German Shooting Star Alexander Fehling, who will present the film in Shanghai, Henri of Navarre by Jo Baier, a high budget production with a superb cast and tremendous production value, Luks Luck by Ayse Polat, an entertaining comedy on the relationship between Germans and Turks, Soul Kitchen by Fatih Akin, which won the prize for best director at the Venice International Film Festival, Suicide Club by Olaf Saumer is an overwhelming tragicomedy with a great cast and Transit by Philipp Leinemann, an intelligent and entertaining debut film.
In Spectrum under Panorama the following films can be seen: Before Tomorrow by Joachim Schoenfeld, The Poll Diaries by Chris Kraus and Rock It! by Joachim Masannek. For Chris Kraus it is the second time he has a film in Shanghai: His famous film Four Minutes won the Golden Goblet of the 9th 赌博app. The Poll Diaries premiered in Toronto and then won the Spezial Jury Award at the International Film Festival of Rome. As in Four Minutes the main role is played by a rather unknown actress Paula Beer who has great talent and takes the spectators on an emotional trip until the very end of the film. Rock It! was a great success in the German cinemas with a very young audience and for sure it will entertain the kids and their parents in Shanghai as well.1
